Sloths are now being recognized and appreciated just recently, but did you know they played a huge part in the spread of avocado trees in the Americas?
BC Trivia: The giant ground sloth (the ancestor of the modern sloth) lived during the Cenozoic area. They were one of the herbivores large enough that can swallow avocados whole and excrete its seeds intact! As they wandered the Cenozoic era "blessing" the world with avocado seeds, the avocado trees grew in abundance in North and South America and eventually, other parts of the world! If you'll be eating avocados, remember it's because of these easygoing mammals

22. Hirobun in Kyoto, Japan is definitely on the foodie's bucket list
This unique riverside restaurant in Kyoto's Kurama and Kibune district gives noodle lovers a chance to experience Nagashi Somen!
It is a special way of serving noodles: it travels down a bamboo pipe with cold, running water and you have to catch the noodles quickly before it gets caught by someone else. You are also given a cold dipping sauce to dip your noodles in before eating. Once the red noodles come out it means your time is over.
BH tip: If you're worried about hygiene, don't fret! The bamboo flumes are changed every batch and leftover noodles are never recycled. The staff provides one flume per group, meaning you will only be sharing this with the people you are with!
